2024 Adopt A School Grant Applications are now open!

Adopt A School is our fall fundraising campaign and program designed in partnership with Indigo to raise urgently needed funds for literacy in schools across Canada.

100% of funds raised by each Indigo store goes directly to their partner school to purchase new books and literacy resources for their school and classroom libraries. Applications are open till February 28th!

Books Have Power

A book can change a child’s life – it can lead to a lifelong love of reading and educational success.

Many elementary schools in economically disadvantaged communities in Canada have limited library budgets. This leaves vulnerable students with inadequate school libraries filled with outdated, tattered and unappealing books.

The Indigo Love of Reading Foundation gives Canadian high-needs elementary schools funds to purchase the books and educational resources they need.

We are investing in a Canada where every child has access to books. And we need your help.

Read Between the Lines

Watch the Read Between the Lines documentary, a film produced by the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation which captures the importance of early literacy and the challenges we face in Canada by underfunding school libraries.
